Well behaved dogs and responsible owners are welcome at The Travellers Rest. Dogs are allowed in our garden and in our covered outside pods. We also allow them in specific areas of our bar at quiet times, but at busy times when the bar is full it may not be suitable for your dog.
We want you to enjoy your visit to The Travellers Rest and to make enjoyable to those customers without dogs please can we ask you:-
To keep your dog on a lead and make sure you know what your dog is up to at all times. Don’t allow your dog to roam free around the pub or garden.
Not to come inside the pub if your dog is wet or muddy.
To exercise your dog beforehand to ensure that your dog has done all the necessaries and doesn’t leave any parcels!
To avoid injury to your dog (or anyone else) make sure your dog isn’t blocking a walkway or in a place where people may trip up (or stand on its tail). If possible keep your dog close to your feet or under a table.
Not to allow your dog on the furniture (chairs, benches and especially the tables).
To keep barking to a minimum, and if ‘little fido’ is growling at people, you will be asked to leave.
